Gate City Writes and The Poetry Project Institute are partnering to host a a workshop on July 8-12 from 9-12 at UNCG School of Education Building.
Interested in learning more about how to effectively use poetry and the art of spoken word in your classroom? Teachers will be taken through various exercises and activities as well as provided with tools to assist them in getting their students to grasp new concepts and see poetry and literacy from a new point of view. Teachers will learn how this art form can be used for positive change in their classrooms and communities to address problems, formulate solutions, battle peer pressure and expand the message of tolerance of diversity.
